Hi! I’m Stacey—affectionately known as Beebs to some.
My beekeeping journey began in 2016, when a friend encouraged me to give it a try. What started as simple curiosity quickly grew into something much more meaningful: a passion for honeybees and a deep appreciation for the incredible little world inside a hive.
Ten years later, I’m still learning. And honestly, I hope I always will be.
Beekeeping has taught me that there’s so much more to caring for bees than simply keeping a hive. It’s about paying attention, understanding their needs, working with nature instead of against it, and doing everything I can to give each colony the best chance to thrive.
Over the years, I’ve learned how to create healthy homes for honeybees, manage pests and disease, help colonies make it through Ohio winters, harvest honey, and—perhaps most importantly—learn to calmly-ish deal with the occasional sting. 😉
But more than anything, beekeeping has taught me just how extraordinary honeybees truly are.
They pollinate the food we eat, support the ecosystems around us, and play an incredibly important role in the world we share. They work together with a purpose and determination that never ceases to amaze me. I may not be able to save every bee, but I believe that every healthy hive matters.
That belief is at the heart of what we do.
We care deeply about the well-being of our bees and strive to keep their lives—and their diet—as natural as possible. Our bees feed on the honey they produce rather than sugar water whenever we can make that possible. After all, honey is their natural food, and we believe they deserve to enjoy the fruits of their own hard work.
And yes, we’re pretty happy to share some of that honey with you, too.
For us, it’s about more than producing delicious, local honey. It’s about caring for the bees first, learning from nature, respecting the work of these remarkable creatures, and being good stewards of the little piece of the world they call home.
Every hive has a story. Every jar of honey represents thousands of tiny journeys, countless flowers, and the incredible work of a colony working together.
We’re grateful to be a small part of that story—and even more grateful to share it with you.
